Italian for Travelers

Get the basics you need to make the most of your Italian vacation. This class covers pronunciation, important phrases, travel tips and answers your Italian journey questions. Travel guide available for purchase, but not necessary for class.

Italiano for Beginners

January 19th - March 8th                        Thursday nights, 7pm - 8:30pm

This class is designed for the complete beginner, providing pronunciation and introducing the foundation verbs: to be and to have.  Come start your Italian journey.  The class follows the text book, Prego, available used through Amazon.com (we like the 5th and 6th editions).

Italiano Continuing

January 23rd - March 12th                      Monday nights, 7pm - 8:30pm
Registration: $120 for 8 sessions

For those with at least some experience in Italian.  This class starts where Beginners ends with chapters 3 and 4 in the Prego textbook.  Expand and continue to learn with more verbs, more vocabulary and more fun!

Limoncello Cooking Class!

  Discover Italy's favorite lemon liquor, Limoncello. We will demonstrate all the stages for making this delightful apertif at home from selecting the lemons to labeling the bottles.

  Recipes provided for delightful Italian recipes, as well as information on finding bottles, stoppers and materials necessary to make your own organic Limoncello at home.

Pine Needle Basketry Workshop 

  Transform Pine needles into beautiful baskets.  Come learn the secrets of how to gather, prepare and coil pine needles with imitation sinew into a round vessel, an authentic natural treasure that will last a life time.  We are surrounded in the foothills with native Grey Pine, which make wonderful baskets and you can collect while out on a hike. 

Once you master these basic skills, you will be able to make baskets large and small, oval and round.  These baskets are beautiful as finished, but can also be embellished with whatever decorations you can imagine.  Bring a sack lunch and we can eat in the classroom or in the garden, weather permitting!
