Placer County Spring Food Box Luncheon

Placer County Real Food Spring Box Luncheon focused on a Fresh, Local, Simple and In-Season menu.  Saturday, May 8th from 12:00 to 2 pm.  Enjoy a freshly prepared box lunch based on locally grown and produced foods, organized and prepared by cookbook authors Joanne Neft and Laura Caballero.  Guests will be served at casual tables set up in the garden of the historic Giuseppe Murer House, weather permitting.
Neft will be introducing the new "Placer County Real Food" cookbook she created with Caballero, a professional chef.  Neft is a longtime agricultural advocate and has worked to enhance the local support and appreciation for local Farmers Markets.  Over the course of a year, Neft and Caballero prepared 52 meals in a sort of yearlong dinner party using only ingredients from the local farmers market.  Their beautiful new 300-page cookbook is the culmination of their efforts and offers recipes you can use to prepare meals at home using only local foods.
The event is limited to 35.  The luncheon is $25 per person.  Reservations are required and must be received by May 6th.  A VISA number is required to hold the reservation.  Those interested in registering may call 916-985-3250.  The Murer House is located at 1125 Joe Murer Court, Folsom.  For more information, visit our websites HERE.
